PLEASE ATTEND THE FINAL L TARAVAL OPEN HOUSE
ON WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 17 & TELL MUNI NOT TO
TAKE AWAY ANY OF OUR 8 L TARAVAL STOPS!!!
As part of the L Taraval Rapid Project, SFMTA/MUNI is proposing to eliminate eight
of our L Taraval stops between West Portal and the Zoo: outbound at 22nd &
Taraval, inbound at 24th & Taraval, and inbound & outbound on Taraval at 17th,
28th, 35th & 44th, and Ulloa Street at 15th & 46th, which include the stops at the
Post Office on 28th, the Parkside library at 22nd, and the Safeway at 17th. SFMTA
already is planning in future projects to save us 6 minutes each way in the
underground between West Portal and Van Ness, speeding up the turnaround by 12
minutes, and the frequency of the L. They estimate that eliminating our 8 L stops will
save us LESS THAN 3 MORE MINUTES each way between West Portal & the Zoo,
but it will greatly inconvenience hundreds of elderly, disabled, and other L riders who
will lose their stops.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
✦ Contact MUNI at tellmuni.com and tell them you want to keep all of our L
Taraval stops, and how losing your stop would create a hardship for you,
your family, and your neighbors.
✦ Attend the Final L Taraval Open House on Wednesday February 17.
The SFMTA/MUNI officials will have tallied up their surveys and will
present their revised proposals based on community input, so please
come with your family and friends to hear what they have to say, and to
continue to tell them in person that you want to keep all of our L stops.
If you have not done so, at the meeting you can sign our petition to
keep all our L stops.
